(Bet you can kinda tell where we are going with this...)

Why did we pick the name Grunj?

We take our cue from Grunge music. Wikipedia describes the theme of Grung music, in part, as:

"Lyrics are typically angst-filled, often addressing themes such as social alienation, apathy, confinement, and a desire for freedom. A number of factors influenced the focus on such subject matter. Many grunge musicians displayed a general disenchantment with the state of society, as well as a discomfort with social prejudices"

So what you have here, then, is not Grunge Music, but the first example of Grunge Media. Or, perhaps, Grunge anti-Media.

Grunj members tell it like it is. Its not news. Its not sensational. Its not propoganda by the powerful elite to convince you to do nothing.

For the most part, everything just plain sucks. (Don't forget, you heard it here first :-)
